1/plinth studio는 2017년 서울에 설립된 산업디자인 스튜디오로 박우진, 손동현 두 명으로 구성되어 있습니다. 1/plinth(원플린쓰)는 ‘one on the plinth’. 즉, ‘전시대 위의 그것(스튜디오의 모든 작업물)’ 을 의미합니다. 기존의 산업재료들이 가진 아름다움을 찾아 전시대 위에 올려, 새로운 가치를 지닌 작품으로 나타내려는 스튜디오의 이상을 담고 있습니다.      

1/plinth studio is an industrial design studio in Seoul made in 2017 by the duo Woojin Park and Donghyun Sohn. 1/plinth stands for ‘one on the plinth’, referring to a thing on the plinth (or everything made in the studio). This phrase reflects the ideal motive of the studio, where they seek beauty in the industrial materials and transform them into artwork with a newfound value as they place it on the plinth.
