목재, 금속, 유리 섬유를 포함한 다양한 재료의 물리적 특성에 대한 깊은 이해를 바탕으로 2015년 디자인 스튜디오 오브젝트랩을 설립한 임정주는 자신이 만든 작품의 형태에 따른 사용자와 사물의 관계를 관찰하고 있습니다. 작가의 오브제 아트는 기능성을 제거한 채 작품의 형태가 일상 생활에서 어떻게 영향력을 행사하는지 실험합니다.      

Im founded her design studio, Object Lab, in 2015. With a basis of a deep understanding of physical properties of materials including wood, metals, and fiberglass, jungju im observes the relationship between the user and her objects that changes depending on the object’s form. Her sculptural works examine the impact that a work can afford to the everyday life when all functionality is extracted from the object.
