종이, 스폰지, 파이프 등 소재의 활용과 조형 이미지로 이야기를 풀어내왔습니다. 가치가 퇴색되어지고 관심으로 부터 단절되어진 상태의 것들로 작업을 시작합니다. 이러한 결핍된 물질들을 이용한 조형 이미지는 모순적인 아름다움에 대한 표현입니다. 오브젝트로의 새로운 시각적 표현을 통해 다시금 가치를 부여하고 인식 할 수 있는 상황을 주는것이 목적입니다.
Yeon Jin Yang tells her story through making use of materials such as paper, sponge, and pipes, and sculptural images. Her work begins with objects that have faded in value and disconnected from our attention. Through these forgotten objects, her sculptural images express an ironic beauty. Yang intends to form situations that give newfound meanings through an alternative visual expression of objects.
